Siberian huskies are a medium sized dog that originated in north-eastern Siberia. They have a dense, long haired coat. They are non-hypoallergenic. The average Siberian husky lives 12-14 years. Males on average weigh 44-60 pounds and females usually weigh 35-51 pounds. The average male husky is around 21-24 inches and a female is on average 20-22 inches tall. Siberian huskies come in a few different colors. They are usually black, grey, red, copper, silver or white. Almost all of them, no matter the color has a white strip from their stomachs up to their faces. Some even have white on their legs as well. Siberian huskies are very outgoing, gentle, friendly, alert, and intelligent. If you are someone who doesn't want to take the dog on walks, or let them play in the snow, this dog is probably not good for you. Another bad thing about them is that they are very difficult to groom and need to be brushed daily so their fur doesn't knot up. Siberian huskies are great with kids and other dogs.
